The last few episodes of Mob Psycho 100 III seemed to have cooled down from the intensity of the Divine Tree arc; however, this was merely a ruse as the dramatic events at the conclusion of episode 9 are developed in episode 10. After being hit by the truck, Mob has been rendered unconscious, and in an all too familiar sequence of events, the raging monster that emerges from deep inside Mob whenever he reaches the mysterious \"%\" state is unleashed upon an unsuspecting Seasoning City.
When Mob loses total control of himself, his powers assume a destructive \"autopilot\" mode that undoubtedly plants him at the top of the list of Mob Psycho 100's most powerful characters. This unfortunate sequence of events in episode 10 yields what is perhaps Mob's most destructive meltdown ever, and this one produces several casualties.
Shocked by what has just transpired, everyone involved in the accident, as well as its witnesses idle briefly as the gravity of the situation sets in. The truck driver attempts to call an ambulance, but his phone starts glitching, and various electronic devices across the city are rendered unusable. Before anyone can even react, the ground around the unconscious Mob cracks dramatically as an instantaneous depression forms in the ground around him. The episode cuts to scenes of the situation in the city, with various people complaining about faulty electronics and traffic drawing to a complete halt before an ominous shot of Mob's advancing legs, cloaked in a red aura of what can be described as a visual depiction of pure malice. Every step he takes wreaks unbridled destruction as the ground cracks and shakes and buildings are destroyed, putting countless people in severe danger. He cuts through the forest, holding the flowers in his hand as he advances to his destination when he is intercepted by Teru, for a good reason this time around.
The twelfth and final episode of Mob Psycho 100 III, the last episode of the Mob Psycho 100 anime series overall, was a beautiful conclusion to the season and the overarching narrative of the series. While series' endings tend to be the most controversial aspects among viewers of a particular title, Mob Psycho 100 III had a fitting conclusion and resolved some major character arcs.
This episode also saw the unexpected return of an old friend who was thought to be gone forever. Brilliant animation, emotional dialogue and character interactions, and massive stakes made for a brilliant final episode to one truly amazing anime. If there ever was a 10/10 anime episode, it was this one.
After being thrown into various hard surfaces, Reigen begins to succumb to his injuries; however, before the most significant knock causes him to lose consciousness, Reigen steels his resolve one more time, tossing his socks, shoes and tie to the wayside. He yells that while Mob had been working out, he had been secretly training his own body because he didn't want to lose to him. The series' first opening theme, [99] by Mob Choir is this final episode's insert song, as Reigen dramatically charges towards his disciple, barefoot amidst the devastation. Reigen impressively clears various dangerous obstacles that stand in his way and even looks cool doing so as the song begins to swell. As Reigen comes within a few inches of Mob and the insert song nears its end, a quick compilation of Reigen's fond memories with Mob is shown, followed by cuts of a determined Reigen diving towards the boy, desperate to put a hand on his shoulder as he always had. Just before he can touch Mob, Reigen is sent perpendicularly into the ground by a strong gust of psychic energy, but this doesn't stop Reigen from eventually getting ahead of him.
Crunchyroll is simulcasting the series. The episode with English subtitles will be available around an hour after its release in Japan. In the United States, that would be on Wednesday at the following times:
The rest of the episode looks great too, of course. Again, the decision to show all of the destruction before we get a good glimpse of Mob himself hearkens back to classic kaiju and horror movies, which helps set the tone of this chapter. And when we do see Mob, he's drawn as a violent scribble before the scene focuses on his dark, emotionless, and hair-raising visage. It reminds me, probably intentionally, of how Togashi depicts Gon in his final fight with Neferpitou. Both situations take classic shonen manga tropes and twist them around into an expression of the true tragedy at hand. These aren't triumphant moments. They're our heroes' lowest points, saved only by clearer heads coming to their rescue.
And overall, this episode just whets my appetite for the eventual resolution. Hanazawa's material stands on its own perfectly well, but almost everything else sets up the myriad of other conflicts I want to see. How is Reigen going to get through to his precious part-time employee How will Tsubome react when she learns those flowers are meant for her Will Suzuki's eyebrows be bushy enough to punch through berserker Mob Only time and the alarmingly few episodes of Mob remaining will tell.
While this episode did serve as a nice step away from Mob, the action felt lacking a bit, I mean, sure, the fight with one of the Ultimate 5 members, but even then, felt a little lackluster. But, I can see why, he was fighting brand new characters, it would not be as interesting to see him fight the long-time ones. So, it was intentional, but necessary.

After spending the last episode trying to get a date with his crush, Mob ended up leaping in front of a moving vehicle in order to try to save a child's life, causing the car to hit him instead. Mob was only out for a few moments, however, before his % kicked in and his body began to move again. % is usually only seen when Mob is in a fight and struggling and has proven unbeatable so far. As he gets up and begins moving in this state, the amount of psychic power radiating off of Mob causes catastrophic damage to the road and buildings around him. Whatever is going on, it's not normal, even for this bizarre form.
The first esper to arrive on the scene and challenge Mob was his friend, Teruki Hanazawa. Hanazawa put up an admirable struggle, but Mob is barely even slowed down by his attacks, and he sends the boy flying. As their fight continues, Mob's power becomes so great that even standing near him is causing Hanazawa to take damage, leaving him with bloody eyes and nose before falling unconscious entirely. The episode then cuts to the backroom of a store where Koyama and Sakurai, two former members of the esper organization CLAW, are working. The two declare their intent to protect their workplace from Mob, and end up engaging him on their own. It's then shown that a government plane is approaching from above, where a strike team of espers, led by CLAW's founder Toichiro Suzuki, are being briefed. Suzuki defeats the other espers before bailing without a parachute, eager to face off against Mob once again.
Of course, even if Mob is awakened, he'll still have to deal with the devastation that he's caused in these final episodes of Mob Psycho 100... something that's likely to weigh on the poor boy for quite some time.
Reigen, being a con man, has a way with words. He uses the ability of his to make rational arguments and is often is convincing. This is no more on display than in episode 11. He manages to manipulate many of the lower level Claw into think that he was the boss. He appeals not to greed or some selfish motive, but to the bad morality and criminality of their behavior. He manages to talk his way into the Claw facility, free the group of espers and rescue Mob and the others. When he is finally is outed for not being the boss, he still manages to convince the low level Claw members to abandon the organization. 59ce067264
