Shrek 2 is a sequel to the original Shrekfilm. Both of them were based on the European fairy tale, The Frog Prince by the Brothers Grimm. It was a very successful fairy tale and was published in 1815. It featured colorful paintings depicting a female protagonist named Princess Fiona and a male protagonist named prince Shrek. These characters continue their twists and turns in a series of humorous situations and are trying to find their way to the hero's kiss.
